Rakuten is easy to use, and I get cash back on so many things!

I like the app, the pop up to alert me to the savings. I dislike that it pulls up another site, not where I'm purchasing from. Like not helpful at all.

I've used rakuten for 10+ years and received thousands back on my purchases. They've been a very user-friendly company and app, quickly replacing any funds not paid on a shopping trip--I have NO idea how they keep track of all it!-- and answering any questions I raised. I was happy to extol on the virtues of rakuten and invite my friends to join the app . . . until last year. I noticed the cash back amounts were not as high as they once were (with the exception of a select few national name brands that are consistently paying 8% cash back or higher.) Then came the launch of Rakuten+ a new PAID subscription service, where for $50.00 a year, you can unlock higher cash back rates on select apps. Since launching this subscription service, rakuten appears to have a standard rate of 2% on everything now; HOWEVER, they do still run some FABULOUS sales, where they will offer up to 20% cash back. Once upon a time EVERY shopping trip of mine began at rakuten. I admit that isn't always the case now. In addition to lower cash back rates, I've had two separate issues where they didn't pay on big ticket items. One was 20% cash back on a year's worth of contacts.

Enjoy the cash back, getting tired of the popups. The extension will not allow you to block the popups on sites that they're not partnered with. Therefore, every time I go to walmart or amazon, I keep getting popups about buying elsewhere. Ok I get it, but many times after shipping, it's not cheaper. If I want to buy elsewhere I will. But I can't always do that. I go to the settings and it just doesn't allow it. FIX THAT.

Cash back has been quite good, first time I made a purchase it did not appear and the team posted it to my account in less than two days are were very responsive. Referred my Father today who does a lot of online shopping.

Had a bad experience—Rakuten terminated my account without a clear explanation. When I asked, they responded with: 'Rakuten ended its relationship with you, not just your email address. Any future accounts will be deactivated. It would be best if you found another Cash Back site.' Extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency and harsh response.

I use it all the time for things I was already buying! I've gotten almost $2k back since joining (admittedly I've been a user for a loooonnnng time)

I hate having to hide the bubble on every web page even non buying pages. Also, every time I try to use it and it goes to the other website to get my discount, I get a error as it will not go back to original website.

Years ago I loved the extension. These days though it takes weeks to even process if you've earned money back from a purchase at all, then weeks or months to see the money (assuming you meet the minimum payout threshold, because you'll never see the money until you do). More than ever my purchases are deemed ineligible because of some obscure exclusionary factor, which would've been wonderful to know when I made the purchase initially. Years ago I would hear how people accidentally made an exclusionary purchase, but still get their cash back, just along with a warning from customer service. The only appealing factor to me these days is the aggregated coupon codes, which you could find with a number of other shopping extensions, or by really looking around online yourself.

Extension currently seems to be broken due to a geolocation issue. It always redirects to a US portal to log in so as a new user from the UK I am completely unable to log in through the extension, and even after various cache wipes and attempts on different browsers it just will not sync to my account, even if I'm signed in through a webpage. You always just get a geogating page that prompts you to redirect to your region, but doesn't actually offer any sync to your account when that region has been changed.

The idea of getting money back on things you need to purchase is a fantastic idea! It's always a great surprise when I get the check in the mail! I have never had one issue with this company! Honestly, I don't even think about it. I just click the purple button that has an "R" in it, and they take care of the rest. I get a check in the mail and everyone is happy! Thanks Rakuten!

This extension works... When I remember to click on it, that is! Totally user error there. I have used this extension for several years and have always received the Cash Back I was promised. Does it pay the rent? No. But it takes a few bucks off something I was going to buy anyway. Give it an honest try and see how it works for you. Do be certain to check the Percentage Off - it can change from day to day. I looked at a favorite site one day and the percentage was 5%. The next day it was 16%!!! Shopping spree!!

This extension is a scam; it never once gave cashback for any purchases. The purchases that it said it would apply to don't even show up on the activity history within the extension. Don't bother.

I order from Sainsburys and Just Eat weekly, but the site doesn`t work. waste of time complaining. They say use another device. If I bought something that didn`t work, would I be told "use something else" Please fix the website problem

You have to report missing cash back for every order even with this extension because Rakuten does not want to pay people out.

Trash and I keep encountering issues with the shopping trips not tracking even though the message pops up after I click it that it is tracking. The CS reps are useless. DELETED.
